Our First Event: MMF
Tuesday, April 28, 2009

I guess I'm back to the picture posting fever, haha.

Dhassareth
(he calls himself 'The Black D*ick') told me the other day: I was reading your old old blogs back in Form 4 and 5, and then I read your current blog. What the h*ll happened to you; you're sound so depressed now! You're retarded.

Lol, apparently according to him, I've turned into an emo freak.

After much anticipation, I finally went for the first university event:
Monash Music Festival. I've sorta been wanting to go for some kind of university event, and dress up or something. MMF wasn't a dress up event, though, but I loved the splash of blue I wore that day *grins.

Highlight of the day: The SUN.

New friend: Izzamera!

We were hot, literally. These "first 200" goodie bags took forever.

Victor! - nice guy & fellow CF-er

Namie! - we met each other in piano class a couple of years back. Small world!

With the secuirty boys: Ridzuan, 'Goodie Girl', Aaron, Guido

Aaron is Bianca's brother - I had no idea. Small world indeed. And Guido's Dutch, but he was born in.. South Afria. Cool, no?

Melvin!

Good luck, Jeremy :)

The Prize Girls: Kar Mern, Sher Yen, Christina

Sir Thomassss :) - ditched me for school girls!

Perfect Child: Second Runner Up for Battle of the Bands

With Chris Sam and Rachel - Psuedo Chrisendo (Sorry if I got the spelling wrong)

Stage people are all the drama: Yian Yian, Sher Yen, Kar Mern, Christina (freeloader), Preeti (cool name, right)

Some of our sponsors: Sapura, Adidas, Rimmel London
Not in the picture:
Nokia, Maxis

Part of the Sponsorship team: Sarah (the boss - don't mess), Malati (boss' right hand), Christina (trainee, lol)

MIA:
Abeer, Usman

BUS COMPANY *hearts

Miss Emo Freak, Ee Ling :P

Dude in the background, Luke - his performance was damn good!

Stage Manager - Philip.

"You know, you're quite an odd girl. You like to hang aroudn the place where the most drama happens."

I was practically at the performer's area for the remaining half of the event after I completed my tasks. Freeloader!

Stage crew at work - gaya betul, Melvin.

Diplomats of Drum - heard they were good. Didn't stay for the performance though. Bummer.

And I wasn't there for Seven Collared T-Shirt and Love Me Butch either. Aww. The rashes sent me home. Did I mention I woke up with rashes that morning itself? Yeah, I did. If any of you remember how I looked with rashes last year, it was how I looked that morning. Freaked me out! Thank God for steroids.

To sum it all up, being alone towards the end of the day wasn't so bad. I got to meet and talk to new people, and had enough free time to get myself a henna, some accessories, and clothes from the flea market :D

Next event: FINALS.

Yet Again
Thursday, April 16, 2009

Oh so very disappointing results.

Does this count as overconfidence, again? I see this pattern every start of the studying period. Same thing happened in the beginning of last year, after mid-term and term break, and now.

Time to buck up, again.

Behind The Bunnies And Chocolate;

What does Easter really mean?

It might be a little late addressing this question, but better late than never. I feel like sharing my thoughts on this, particularly, because it made me realize something that encouraged me to move forward no matter what the circumstance.

The meaning of Easter often gets drowned in the hoo-ha of the holidays, chocolate eggs and Sunday church services. As Christians, I'm sure some of us, myself included, really did just let Easter pass us by like any other weekend. Even with CF inviting Pastor Sandra to talk to us about a short Easter message in CF and an extremely enlightening sermon in church about how Jesus' crucifixion, burial and death ties up to our salvation, sometimes the essence of Easter just wouldn't sink in. At least, that was how I felt.

However, an important reminder on why Easter matters so much: because Jesus died and rose again right. Why? "He did it so that the world can have hope", is what Pastor Sandra mentioned. She spoke about running the race, and finishing well at the finish line. We always start off enthusiastically, but not many reach the finish line with achievement.

For myself, I've constantly fallen, gone off that track and stopped for breathers multiple times. But the thing is, "It's okay. Just get up, and keep going. Because God will pick you up and put you back on the right track again."

I believe in that with all my heart.

I'm forgiven, because you were forsaken.
I'm accepted, you were condemned.
I'm alive and well, your spirit lives within me,
Because you died and rose again.

Amazing love, how can this be?
That you my King would die for me
Amazing love, I know it's true
It is my joy to honour you,
In all I do, I honour you.

It's Times Like These
Monday, April 6, 2009

"At your level, there's no way you can sit for the test." Bummer.

Sometimes some things make us ponder of the reverse effects if a decision could be reconsidered. Then again, if that were to happen, who are we to predict that it would turn out better. An extra couple of days could maybe just add to the number, but would it have really meant anything? It'd be another good or bad memory - whether it's good or bad depends, really. Would you be able to say that you will definitely be better off?

We often hear that we live in a world of 'what if's and 'if only's, which is true. (Did you watch Benjamin Button?)

Everything reminds me of you... and food. Everything reminds me of you and food. Did I tell you I've been eating like nobody's watching? It's the emotional & mental unstability, I suppose.

I eat when I'm stressed. Emo nemo baby.

Guess What...
Saturday, April 4, 2009

I just did 20 minutes on that exercise machine thing.

The last time I 'exercised' was back in 2007. It's a good way to start a Saturday morning, after rushing three assignments back to back. Take a weekend off, hopefully will be able to meet the princess on Monday. Will start working on Accounting assignment on Tuesday. Easter break is much anticipated; the Queen is coming back (roll out the red carpet!), and time to catch up on driving.

Another shocker: My instructor wants to push me to take my driving test on the 20th of April, which is 3 Mondays from . Fuyoh! I'm so unprepared, lol.

Congratulations!

Tracks of My Tears
Friday, April 3, 2009

If I was a cow,I wouldn’t say moo

I’d roll on the grass in the morning

And also in the evening too.

If I was a cow, I’d give lots of milk

To anyone who asks nicely

And those who squeeze me gently too, baby

But I’m not a cow, I’m actually a fly

I can never produce milk

No matter how hard I try :(

Tracks of My Tears: Lovely song, lovely performance by Adam Lambert on last week's American Idol.

Good morning, Malaysia! I have officially handed in three assignments so far: Microeconomics, Business and Econometrics Statistics and Management - sweeeet!

Yesterday was stressful. I texted Gerard: Dude, I've been eating non stop all day, no kidding. What's wrong with me. Maybe it's the stress. It's the attack of the killer carbohydrate hunger pangs. So much temptation everywhere. I'm not lying when I say I have been thinking of nothing but food, food and food.

I'm going to be a typical girly girl now:
  1. My nail beds are history; I need a mani-pedi. Sue picked up this voucher booklet for Asian Avenue (haha) that includes this 10% off for a simple mani-pedi set - just what I need.
  2. What should I do with my hair now? It will be typical Moi to suggest I keep my fringe long again, but I've been having that same hairstyle for, like, ever. Maybe long side-swept bangs? :D
  3. There were these two cute boys sitting next to me in the library. One of them is whom we refer to as 'the speak chinese one', and the other is his friend. And this other guy spoke to me - we think he's quite cute too. *griiiins
Stay tuned for more updates from Food For Thought!

// Why on earth are the bullets flowers; I don't like floral patterns, lol.
