Day 6: The Earliest Memory

I've never really had a good memory. That's why I like taking pictures; they capture moments.

Besides the vivid memories of foodfoodfood and playing cards during the annual CNY celebrations, I've always remembered the period when my mom was pregnant with my brother.

I remember I've always wanted a younger sibling, but I can't remember if it was because I was lonely or something. My dad would pick me from kindergarten, and I would always be so excited to go home so I could see Mummy. As my dad opened the door, I'd look behind the door to see if she was in the living area. Times when she'd be lying on the couch, I'd run inside the house, smiling, eager to say hi and listen to the belly. Haha, I'm so cute. Can't remember if I've ever heard anything, but the excitement was so pure. I couldn't wait for my younger brother/sister (I probably didn't know at that time, neither was I particular). Ah, those were the days!

Today, I'm still uber excited to fly home and see Calvin. See how tall he's grown, whether he's still skinny or if he gained any weight, hear how much more his voice can break, listen to him play the guitar and pick up singing, dress well and stand tall. This time I want to hear him tell me about his principles, his thoughts about God, his relationships and friends, etc etc deep stuff etc.
