Week 8 of this final semester was by far one of the most hectic weeks I've ever experienced in my university life. I don't know how the engineering and medical students do it, but I certainly did not excel in juggling my work for that week. I salute for those of you who have more than 20 contact hours a week, and have multiple assignments due within days of each other. Here's a summary of events since then until the beautiful day that was my birthday, haha.
**********
To get through Week 8, I:
- skipped almost all my classes (except one which really was compulsory),
- slept for about 5 hours each night, for which the only reason why I managed to get FIVE hours of sleep was because I sleep through my alarms (which I was regret),
- pull my first full-on all nighter, complete with not brushing my teeth, having my butt glued to the same spot, forgoing looking into the mirror for more than 2 days, and etc,
- was shivering in the morning after 3 cups of coffee that night.
Of course, there were highlights of that night. The main one was being cared for by the loving housemate, YY, who cooked dinner for me and bought lunch for me the next day. TLC! :3
Braised lamb stew; absolutely delicious!
So I handed in my last assignment for that week 5 minutes late, as a result of my desktop crashing for unknown reasons. My computer hanged and the time stopped a while before that, causing me to think that it was only 4pm when it was already 4.40pm. Wahlao, my heart jumped, and so did the rest of my body. Printing errors made it worst since I have to hand it in by hand at the student center. Thank you, Jesus, that there were helpful people there, if not I would've been so lost.
I stared at the two assignment boxes for a good 30 seconds, watching others hand in their assignments and making sure that I put it into the right box. Then I left to meet Hezreen, who was visiting Melbourne. Even though I only sat there for 20 minutes before leaving for E-Night, it felt good to catch up with college mates - it was liberating, acting young again - and the fact that I could enjoy spring break was also liberating. Haha.

As we sat at 1,000 Pound Bend, I (and YY) couldn't stop thinking of the shredded duck and preserved vegetable fried rice YY bought from Rose Garden that day. :3 In all honesty and seriousness, it is the BEST fried rice EVER to enter my mouth.
Ran to the Law Building to meet Joyce for E-Night after taking a few bites of the fried rice and concealing my face. E-Night (Love, God) was beautiful :) The organizers put their heart into planning and running it, and of course, you could see that the amount of effort they exerted was to see their friends come to know more about God. From the welcome packs, the games, the emcees, the programs, and the amount of prayer that went supported them, it was all about God. Kudos! Click to see what happened that night: Love, God.
That night, I felt immensely blessed to be in the company of my cell group :) It's a mixture of reasons, I guess. Yes, we were quite a talented bunch, if I may say so myself. Lol. We have singers, musicians, a professional dancer, a few amateur dancers (hehe), a very tech savvy dude who rocks the P.A. system, chefs and connoiseurs, etc. And best of all, they make me feel like I belong in the group because we're so comfortable with each other (sometimes maybe too comfortable).
I have just decided that I will post in batches. This is the first batch - pre-spring break.
Hungry. Off to brunch lunch, bye!
